Goodbyes are always tricky. As the temperature starts to drop, we find ourselves saying farewell to things like warm summer nights with sand between our toes and almost translucent dresses because they’re the only form of clothing that keeps our body’s in check in the humid heat. However, as we bid adieu to summer, we also say hello to fall manicures. We’ve been cozying up with warm sweaters, lighting far more candles, and have been significantly changing our skincare routines.
What else are we changing nowadays, you may ask? Our nail routines, of course. In our humble opinion, nails are the perfect way to quickly add pizzazz to any look because no matter what we are wearing, we’ll have these little jewels on our fingers until we take them off. Plus, it feels good when, during a taxing day of typing away, we can look down at our hands from time to time and remember that we took the time to express ourselves through painted nails.
This fall, we are all for subdued dark colors, earth tones, and the occasional bright pop of color that will help us ease into the cold weather that lies ahead, and our fall manicures. Additionally, we love the idea of simple lines and designs embedded into an otherwise bare nail. The negative space reminds us that sometimes, less is more – a rather comforting sentiment as we transition out of the electrifying intensity of summer and into the stillness of the fall season.
